MONEY

Pricing & Contracts

How much does it cost?

Most clients spend between $0.45 and $0.65 per piece, depending on how much they mail each month. That price includes everything — strategy, custom design, location targeting, printing, postage, distribution, post office follow-up, route-level tracking, local phone numbers, our software platform, and a dedicated account manager who specializes in tree service. Most clients send between 4,600 and 125,000 pieces per month. Volume determines where you land in the pricing range.

Is there a contract?

There's an initial three-month agreement. After that, it's month-to-month. The three months aren't arbitrary. Direct mail compounds — month one establishes your baseline, month two we're already cutting underperforming routes, month three you start seeing what a fully optimized campaign looks like. Three months gives us both enough data to actually know whether this is working.

RESULTS

Performance & Guarantee

What does the guarantee actually mean?

If you spend $3,200 a month with us, you'll see more than $3,200 in attributable revenue from your campaigns. If you don't, we don't stop. We adjust, optimize, test new routes, redesign the mailer, and keep going until the math works in your favor. And if it ever truly doesn't — we'll refund the difference. Simple as that.

How quickly will I start getting calls?

Typically within the first 14 days after your mail hits mailboxes — and from sign-up to mail in mailboxes takes about 14 days. That means it could be 14 days from today. Once you're signed up, we run the targeting analysis, design your mailer, get it approved, print, and get it in the mail. From that point forward, you'll know almost exactly when your calls are coming each month based on your mailing schedule.

I tried direct mail before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?

Here's what almost always happened: mail went out to the wrong neighborhoods (picked off the USPS website or by gut), used a generic template, and had a single phone number. When results were disappointing, nobody knew why. We run thousands of potential neighborhoods through our analysis before a single letter is printed. We build you a custom mailer. And we track every individual carrier route with its own phone number. The mail wasn't the problem. The lack of strategy and tracking was.

HOW IT WORKS

Process & Comparison

How do you figure out which neighborhoods to mail?

You give us your home base address and tell us how far you're willing to drive for work. We run an analysis on thousands of potential neighborhoods — looking at homeowner income, property value, home age, renter vs. owner ratios — and layering that with our proprietary satellite imaging that measures actual tree density, canopy health, and property size at the individual carrier route level. We're the only company in the U.S. with that data. We also cluster your target neighborhoods geographically.

What does the mailer actually look like?

Every mailer we build is custom to your company, your location, your season, and your goals. It's a full-color 8.5" x 11" letter, sent flat (not in an envelope), with a handwritten-style portion that feels personal. Your logo, your crew photos, your name, your message. We send multiple versions simultaneously across different routes to test which creative drives a higher response rate in your specific market.

How will I know when to expect calls?

Your account manager sends you text and email notifications with your upcoming mailing schedule — when mail drops, which neighborhoods it's hitting, and what call volume to expect based on historical performance. You also have full visibility into your dashboard at all times: every order, its performance data, and where we're planning to hit in the future.

What's different about you vs. Tree Leads Today?

The core difference: ownership. With Tree Leads Today, they own the phone number, the data, the insights. If you leave, you walk away with nothing. With Tree Traction, everything belongs to you. We track at the individual carrier route level, have proprietary tree density data, do fully custom A/B tested designs, and our account managers handle fewer than 20 accounts each. We charge per piece — not ~$85 per lead.

THE TRACKING NUMBERS

Data & Ownership

Can I use my own phone number?

The tracking numbers are the engine behind everything. We assign a unique local phone number to each individual carrier route — 40 to 50 numbers for a typical campaign, all forwarding instantly to your main line. Every call is tied to the exact street it came from. That's how we verify delivery, cut underperforming routes, and improve results monthly. If we used your main number, we'd have no idea which neighborhoods work. And when you're done with us, every number is yours to keep.

Do I own the data and phone numbers if I leave?

Yes. Completely. The phone numbers, the performance data, the campaign history, the route-level heat maps — all of it lives on your dashboard and belongs to you from day one. When you leave, we'll port your phone numbers to whatever carrier you want for $1.25 each.

TERRITORY & FIT

Getting Started

Can I pick my own zip codes?

We work together on it. You tell us your home base and how far you'll drive. We run the analysis and bring data-backed recommendations. You have full visibility and approval before anything goes out. And your service area is exclusive — we don't take on a competing tree service company in the same market.

Is there a minimum number of pieces?

Our minimum is 4,600 pieces per month. Below that, we can't send multiple creative versions and still have enough data per version to make high-quality decisions. The whole system depends on having enough volume to learn from.

My market already feels saturated with direct mail. Is it too late?

That's actually a good sign. If direct mail is already active in your market, it means it works there. The channel isn't the problem — the creative is. We test and change up creative every month. Standing out in a crowded mailbox is a creative problem. It's one we solve.

Do you work with brand new tree companies?

We don't. Most companies that work with us are already doing $500,000+ per year. Direct mail works best as a growth accelerator for businesses that already have the foundation — crews, close rate, and operational stability. If you have external funding and a serious plan, we're open to that conversation.

How do I get started?

Book a strategy call. We'll check availability in your market, run a quick analysis, and give you an honest read. If it's not a fit, we'll tell you. Most clients have their first mailing in-market within a few weeks of signing up.

Still Have Questions?

A 30-minute call will answer everything. We'll check your zip code, run a quick market analysis, and give you a straight answer on whether we're the right fit.
